Nanoporous diaphragms for electrochemical sensors (NanoDiaS)

Description

The project aimed to develop a nanostructured diaphragm serving as a liquid junction for pH sensors. A significant improvement of the diaphragm, which determines to a high degree the performance of pH sensors should yield a new product generation strengthening Mettler Toledo's market position in this field. The development was a combination of material design, performance analysis, microstructure characterization and modelling of transport and electrochemical parameters.
