Focus

Felix Schraner combines a 360-degree perspective on law, business and politics, and has over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer specialising in national and international business and competition law – both in legislation and in enforcement. Felix Schraner teaches at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Since 2021, he has been a partner at IXAR Legal AG, having previously worked as a partner at a business law firm in Zurich. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a lawyer at KPMG AG in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and also served as KPMG Switzerland’s Data Protection Officer. Between 2009 and 2013, he deepened his expertise in international commercial law as a legal advisor at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). After studying law at the Universities of Zurich and Strasbourg, he was admitted to the Bar in the Canton of Zurich in 2005. In 2010, he completed his doctorate at the University of Zurich with a dissertation on commercial law, for which he was awarded the Issekutz Prize. He is co-editor of the DIKE commentary on the Federal Act on Cartels and Other Restraints of Competition (Zurich/St. Gallen 2018) and has published various specialist articles on competition law. As an expert, he is regularly quoted in leading media. He speaks German, English and French.
