Classes in the spring semester 2022

The Federal Council has not ordered any further tightening of the Covid-19 measures despite the high Omicron infection numbers. Therefore, the Executive Board has decided that the spring semester 2022 will be conducted as face-to-face teaching.

The 3G rule (vaccinated, recovered, tested) and the mask requirement still apply to face-to-face teaching. As last semester, certificate checks are carried out for this purpose. You can also still be tested on campus. ZHAW students will continue to be offered study workstations both in the ZHAW buildings and in the libraries. The university management will decide at a later date on how the end-of-semester examinations will be conducted in June.

Continuing education

Continuing education courses may be held on site, but the 2G rule (vaccinated, recovered) and the mask requirement still apply.

Access to buildings

  • The Covid certificate requirement applies in all publicly accessible buildings, i.e. everywhere teaching takes place at the ZHAW.
  • People must present their certificate as well as a suitable form of photo identification at the certificate checkpoints. The CampusCard is deemed a suitable form of photo identification.
  • A Covid certificate is already required in cafeterias.
  • Details are regulated in the Covid-19 protection concept of the ZHAW, additional information is available on the intranet.

Testing possibilities

In Winterthur and Wädenswil, testing opportunities are offered at the following locations from 07:00 - 10:00 (Mon to Fri):

In Zurich, ZHAW members can take advantage of the test offer organised by the ZHdK. Longer waiting times must be expected everywhere.

University Library

Details on accessibility and services at the locations can be found on the HSB websites.
