ELAKE – Electric Lake Constance Route
The ELAKE project is establishing a cross-border electric boat pilot route on Lake Constance, and the ZHAW is conducting scientific research into the charging infrastructure, user behavior, and new business models.
Description
The ELAKE project is creating a practical testing environment for electric recreational boats through a cross-border pilot route between Germany and Switzerland. Researchers at ZHAW are providing scientific support for the project and analyzing charging infrastructure, energy demand, user behavior, and new business models. The goal is to accelerate the transition to climate-neutral mobility on Lake Constance and to provide a solid foundation for the expansion of the charging infrastructure.
