Uncovering Protein Context Evolution with Neuro-Symbolic Phylogenetics (PHYNE-NEURO)
Description
We pioneer neuro-symbolic methods that retain the interpretability and mechanistic grounding of classical phylogenetics while integrating the representational richness of genomic large language models.
Beyond improving phylogenetic accuracy, this enables detailed study of evolutionary dynamics in annotated features like protein structure. Our scalable tools support diverse applications in health and biotechnology, as demonstrated by collaborators in peptide binder design and in HIV data analysis.
