Revision and Evaluation of a Smartphone-Based Self-Help App for Individuals With Headaches (BalanceUP2.0)
Technical modernization and conceptual flexibilization of the evidence-based BalanceUP app for individuals with headaches.
Description
The BalanceUP 2.0 project comprises the technical migration and conceptual revision of an evidence-based smartphone intervention for individuals with headaches.
The app, successfully evaluated in an RCT (published in JMIR 2024), will be ported to a current platform and restructured from a time-limited sequential model to a freely accessible usage format. Users receive self-directed access to all seven therapeutic modules without prescribed order. Therapeutic content remains unchanged.
A pre-post study will evaluate effectiveness in a real-world setting and usage behavior.
