Steward-Ownership Aligned Financing (SOAF)

Description

In this project, financial instruments for startup, growth, and succession financing were developed and analyzed that are compatible with steward-ownership structures while at the same time addressing the needs of traditional investors.

To this end, suitable financing instruments were identified, reviewed from a legal and tax perspective, and structured as a modular “toolkit” with key design parameters. The developed approaches were concretized through case studies and qualitatively assessed for practical applicability in collaboration with relevant financing partners.
