Evaluation and Improvement of Financial Controlling for City Governance in Winterthur
Description
On behalf of the City of Winterthur, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) conducted an analysis of the executive’s needs and the existing financial controlling structures. The study was based on semi-structured interviews with all city councillors, departmental controllers, the city chancellery, and selected public utility companies.
The objective was to identify approaches for further developing financial controlling to effectively support the city council in decision-making and governance.
