In collaboration with Biosimo AG and Collano AG, the ZHAW is developing an innovative process for producing 2-ethylhexanol from bio-based feedstocks. This versatile industrial chemical is currently manufactured exclusively through petrochemical methods. The project aims to establish a sustainable and resource-efficient alternative. The Laboratory for Process Engineering is leading the initiative, applying both theoretical and experimental approaches to ensure effective implementation.
