Sustainable Tourism Parks Slovakia

Description

The objective of this project is to promote sustainable tourism and to support ecosystem and biodiversity protection in protected areas across Slovakia. The ZHAW is the official Swiss Partner in the support to increase the potential of protected areas for sustainable tourism via soft activities such as sustainable tourism management, improvement of the status of habitats, nature based forest management, educational and awareness raising activities etc.

Main workpackages are the support in the implementation of a network of the nine National Parks and in the elaboration of a tourism strategy and touristic packages. The Swiss Parks Network is involved in this partnership with a subcontract.
