Voltage and quantum efficiency losses in indoor organic photovoltaic devices
The goal is to gain a profound understanding of the voltage loss and quantum efficiency loss mechanisms under low-light conditions in organic solar cells.
Description
Organic photovoltaics (OPV), which are based on organic semiconductor materials, offer the advantages of simple manufacturing processes, low cost and non-toxicity, and thus have significant potential for advances in solar energy technology. Since organic semiconductor materials have no lattice defects and tunable bandgaps, OPV devices also show excellent performance potential under low-intensity indoor LED lighting conditions.
However, this potential has not yet been fully exploited. Therefore, the aim of this project is to better investigate loss mechanisms that occur specifically under low light conditions.
