Development and construction of a sensor carrier for the drone-based measurement of methane and CO2 concentrations in near-ground air layers
Description
The Geoforschungszentrum Potsdam is researching the exchange processes between the ground and the atmosphere. To this end, the climate-relevant gases methane and CO2 are to be measured in air layers near the ground in order to make climate models more accurate. This is being done with an unmanned aerial vehicle. The ZHAW is developing and building the necessary measuring instrument carrier, which will be mounted under the aircraft. The focus of this work lies in the development of the support structure, the electrical integration of the sensors and the software development for the control of the sensors and for the data recording.
