Digital transformation in research
ZHAW digital promotes research projects and connects researchers who are addressing current challenges and key issues related to digital transformation.
Funding programmes
Research funding is a key component of ZHAW digital. It enhances the visibility of research projects and researchers across all disciplines that address pressing questions related to digital transformation, while also fostering collaboration among them. In doing so, it strengthens the competitiveness of the ZHAW and the Canton of Zurich as a hub for research and development, and promotes knowledge transfer between the university, industry, and society.
DIZH Fellowship
The DIZH Fellowship is an internal ZHAW funding programme that supports highly committed researchers in their academic careers and professional development. It is open to professors, senior researchers, research associates, and doctoral candidates whose work engages deeply with pressing questions related to digital transformation. The fellows and their projects reflect the breadth and diversity of digital transformation research at the ZHAW.
Digital Futures Fund
The Digital Futures Fund for Research and Development is designed as a low-threshold funding scheme. It supports project ideas from all ZHAW employees that address digital transformation in research and development and can be implemented or piloted on a manageable scale.
DIZH innovation programme
As part of the DIZH innovation programme, a variety of innovation projects from Zurich’s universities – the ZHAW, the University of Zurich (UZH), the Zurich University of Teacher Education (PHZH) and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) – are supported. The aim is to bring research findings closer to practical application and make them available in collaboration with partners from the private and public sectors in the field of digital transformation. At the same time, the needs and experiences of industry partners should be incorporated into scientific research. ZHAW digital supports ZHAW projects as part of the innovation programme with matching funds.
