ZHAW CAI Showcased Physical AI and Robotics at the Humanoid Forum in Biel

Following successful appearances at WEF and Swiss Robotics Day, the ZHAW Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) headed to the Humanoid Forum in Biel. We showcased live robotics demonstrations, presented our latest research in Physical AI and embodied AI, and helped promote the upcoming Davos Tech Summit we are co-organizing.

The ZHAW Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) recently participated in this year's Humanoid Forum in Biel/Bienne. Building on our global engagements at WEF 2026 and the Swiss Robotics Day, our team successfully brought the future of embodied AI directly to the public. We were represented by Dr. Jorge Peña Queralta, head of the Embodied Mobile Agents Research Group and PhD student Pascal Sager.

At the forum, researchers from the CAI conducted multiple live demonstrations highlighting the intersection of digital AI and physical robotics. Visitors had the opportunity to see our robots in action, learn about our innovative educational initiatives in Physical AI, and engage in discussions about the future of human-robot collaboration.

CAI’s spin-off company Binabik.AI , which builds software for humanoid robots, won the best startup pitch at the Forum.

In addition to our robotics showcases, we used the platform to help promote the upcoming Davos Tech Summit, which the CAI is proud to be co-organizing.

It was a fantastic event for connecting with the community, meeting with our experts, and demonstrating how intelligent systems are bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds.
