CAI was present at the Swiss Robotics Day with multiple AI + Robotics demonstrations

Prof. Alisa Rupenyan-Vasileva and Dr. Jorge Peña Queralta represented ZHAW’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) at Swiss Robotics Day in Lausanne. They showcased humanoid and other autonomous robotic systems and discussed recent advances in embodied and agentic AI.

Prof. Alisa Rupenyan-Vasileva and Dr. Jorge Peña Queralta represented ZHAW’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) at Swiss Robotics Day in Lausanne, one of Switzerland’s key events for robotics research and innovation.

A central highlight of ZHAW’s presence was the autonomous winding robot developed under at the Industrial AI Group. The system demonstrated robust, fully autonomous operation over extended periods, illustrating CAI’s expertise in autonomous industrial robotics and intelligent manufacturing.

In addition, humanoid and quadruped robotic platforms showcased current research in embodied and agentic AI, robot learning, and human-robot interaction, led by the Embodied Mobile Agents Group

The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the Swiss robotics community and to discuss future research directions and collaborations.
