CAI Received SoE Funding for new Physical AI Demonstrations and Workshop development projects
Dr. Jorge Peña Queralta and PhD student Pascal Sager have secured funding for two internal School of Engineering projects at ZHAW. The projects strengthen interactive robotics demonstrations and hands-on AI education, advancing outreach, teaching, and applied research at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence.
Two internal project proposals led by Dr. Jorge Peña Queralta, Head of the Embodied Mobile Agents Research Group at ZHAW’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI), with PhD student Pascal Sager, have been approved for funding by the ZHAW School of Engineering.
The projects focus on developing an interactive humanoid robot demonstration for public engagement and a hands-on workshop that introduces students to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and robotics. Both initiatives aim to make cutting-edge Physical AI and robotic technologies tangible for diverse audiences, from school students to the general public.
The funded projects strengthen CAI’s mission to combine research, education, and outreach, while showcasing ZHAW’s expertise in Physical AI, robotics, and human–machine interaction.
