The Center for Space and Aviation Switzerland and Liechtenstein (CSA) gains another key partner for research and development with ZHAW. ZHAW strengthens the CSA with its expertise in aviation, engineering, and sustainable aviation. Existing collaborations, such as those related to turbine emission measurements, will be deepened.

In addition, ZHAW is involved in international projects, including a partnership with the spin-off SkAI to analyze spoofing and jamming threats to GPS signals – a significant contribution to flight safety.

"ZHAW brings its interdisciplinary expertise in aviation to strengthen CSA and position it internationally. Additionally, the partnership opens up new research opportunities at Dübendorf airport, especially in the areas of Sustainable Aviation and Autonomous Systems," explains Prof. Dr. Michel Guillaume, head of the ZHAW Centre for Aviation. The center is known for its work on drone operations, risk analyses, modern flight simulators, human factors performance, and aviation language.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Oliver Ullrich, Chairman of CSA, warmly welcomes ZHAW: "With ZHAW, the Center gains the leading competence center in Switzerland in the field of aviation and a hub for entrepreneurship. This is a tremendous gain for Switzerland's role in aerospace."

Together with partners such as the University of Zurich, Empa, HSLU, CFAC-HSG, and other institutions, new synergies are being created at the Zurich Innovation Park, located on the military airfield in Dübendorf.
