Epifania Bono completed her degree in Biology, specialty in Molecular Biology, at the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2001. She received her Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Palermo in 2005. In the following year she worked at the Institute of Biomedicine and Molecular Immunology “A.Monroy”, Palermo, (Post-doc, 2006). Since January 2007 she works at ZHAW in the Prof. Graf-Hausner‘s team.

Current scientific research focuses on cell culture technology and tissue engineering. In particular, development and application of biomaterials, cells and tissues characterization, as well as development and application of cultivation systems and automation are running.
