research concept was developed which was implemented with one of
the universities in Saigon, Vietnam. The resulting collaboration is
an important pillar of the international research network, which
was established on the basis of the collaborations with Vietnam. In
terms of content, the resulting research and publication projects
are concerned with promoting positive development across the life
span, in leadership, and in organizations. In terms of content, the
resulting research and publication projects are concerned with
promoting positive development in schools as organizations and,
more general in leadership.
Mindfulness has lots of positive effects on leadership, management,
job satisfaction: The application of mindfulness is predictive for
positive outcomes of academic and personal goals. Mindfulness can
facilitate the achievement of these goals. By following the
strategy of mindfulness, one is more aware of the presence. This
can be an important benefit in social relations, because one will
pay more attention e.g. to peers. The functioning and quality of
relationships will be enhanced through this attention. Another
benefit of mindfulness is the reduction of stress. Mindfulness
helps to better cope with stress. This also improves communication
about stress and daily hassles which makes it easier to resolve
conflicts. In short relational satisfaction, relational autonomy
and partner acceptation will be enhanced, whilst personal and
relational stress will be reduced.
