International Days

From the course of lectures in Winterthur to a clinical placement in Kathmandu. “International Days” offer our students the chance to learn about the possibilities of studying abroad.

“International Days” take place at ZHAW every year in the spring semester. There is a ZHAW evening event on a different theme each year and a wide range of events in each university school.

The School of Health Sciences invites you to an information fair about international opportunities for students over an extended lunch period. There, students can find out about opportunities for a stay abroad and meet former exchange students. Often, representatives of organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières or the International Red Cross are also present with information booths. To become more familiar with foreign cultures and eating habits, the School of Health Sciences provides a delicious dessert buffet with international specialities every year.

International Days 2016

The motto of International Days at ZHAW this year was “Recent trends in Higher Education”. In addition, Bernd Wächter, Director of the Academic Cooperation Association in Brussels delivered an exciting keynote speech at the ZHAW-wide evening event for International Days.

Inspired by this motto, the School of Health Professions organised a photo competition. The winner of the best photo was awarded a CHF 300 voucher from STA-Travel. Congratulations to Nathalie Blosser and Annina Meyer! The winners of the second to the fifth best photo each received a cinema voucher, and the winners of the sixth to tenth best photo were given a bath towel with the ZHAW logo. The School of Health Professions thanks everyone for participating and congratulates the winners!

And of course we organised the international coffee buffet again, and once again our bagpiper delighted the visitors. For additional information on current offers for short-term stays, study and clinical placements abroad, go to “Marketplace of International Opportunities”. Among the participants were former ZHAW exchange students, who enjoyed first-hand reports, as well as our international guests from the European Nursing Module.
