Webinar “Sustainability Reporting in Practice: From Compliance Requirements to Strategic Value”

Learn how sustainability reporting can become more than a regulatory obligation and evolve into a strategic advantage: In this webinar, Dr. Ina Maria Walthert and Prof. Dr. Christian Vögtlin provide practical insights into the reporting requirements companies face today – and how organisations can use reporting strategically to drive sustainability and create long-term value.

Sustainability reporting is becoming increasingly important for companies. Regulatory requirements and reporting obligations have grown significantly in recent years – including for businesses in Switzerland. Even organisations that are not directly subject to reporting requirements may still be affected, for example as suppliers or business partners of companies that are.

At the same time, sustainability reporting is no longer just a compliance exercise. When used effectively, it helps companies identify relevant sustainability issues, make progress visible, and credibly steer their business towards long-term resilience and future readiness.

In this session as part of the ZSCL Webinar Series “Corporate Sustainability in Focus”, Dr. Ina Maria Walthert, Head Group Sustainability at AMAG, and Prof. Dr. Christian Vögtlin, Program Director of the CAS Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Strategy at ZHAW School of Management and Law, offer a practical perspective on the current requirements, challenges, and opportunities of sustainability reporting.

Participants will receive a concise overview of this complex field and gain insights into how companies prioritise sustainability topics, the role of materiality assessments, reporting frameworks, and internal processes – and what it takes for reporting to deliver genuine strategic value.

The webinar provides a first introduction to one of the key topics covered in the CAS Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Strategy and shows how the programme supports executives and professionals in embedding sustainability effectively within their organisations.
