Feasibility of the Assessment of Sleep Hygiene and Quality Indicators by Means of a Conversational Agent

Quality of sleep has an impact on mental and physical health and thus on general well-being. several factors that influence sleep quality exert their effect in the hours before falling asleep. Activities that promote or hinder sleep quality during this time are commonly subsumed under the term "sleep hygiene". YOUPERS aims to help improve sleep quality through a Sleep Coach. Users receive personalized recommendations on how to improve their individual sleep hygiene. These recommendations are determined by Sleep Coach based on continuous monitoring and analysis of sleep hygiene and quality. In the scope of this project, we will examine the feasibility of the sleep hygiene and quality monitoring and thus obtain insights regarding the conditions under which Sleep Coach can generate a broad spectrum of support measures while requiring minimal user involvement.
