Measuring the Effectiveness of Case Management using Propensity Score Matching

At a glance

Description

The effectiveness of case management (CM) is estimated using propensity score matching. A core element of the methodology is the elimination of differences in observable characteristics between the comparison groups. In particular, it will be analyzed how the reintegration rate of cases with CM differs from that of cases without CM. This will be done overall and with regard to different subgroups (e.g. by type of cause, age, gender etc.). Furthermore, the expenses and revenues of CM will be examined, optimization of CM triage criteria will be studied, and the influence of reporting behavior and duration will be analyzed.
