ZHAW takes part at HackZurich – Europe’s largest hackathon

Kate Kosten, Ursin Brunner and Kurt Stockinger will take part at HackZurich – Europe’s largest hackathon. The ZHAW researchers team up with the Swiss Federal Statistical Office, the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication and CORSTAT – the Swiss Conference of regional statistical offices. The goal of the hackathon is to analyze open government data with research tools developed as part of the EU project INODE which is managed by ZHAW. Participants will use ValueNet – a system that automatically translates natural language questions into the database query language SQL using a transformer-based neural network architecture.
