On research.swiss, Mateusz Kapustka from the University of Zurich (UZH) provides insights into “Shifting Reflections: A Swiss-Indian Research Project on Transcultural Art History”, supported by the Leading House South Asia and Iran at the ZHAW. The interdisciplinary project seeks to initiate the dialogue between researchers in art history from India and Switzerland. It aims to investigate how intercultural differences in understanding images can be practically reflected in present debates on the nature of images, visuality and imagination.

The project is supported by the Leading House South Asia and Iran as part of the cooperation of the Art History Institute of the UZH with the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi (JNU), School of Arts & Aesthetics.
