DSI Excellence Program for PhD Students
The Digital Society Initiative (DSI) will start the second round of the DSI Excellence Program for PhD Students in the Fall Semester 2021 as a complementary offer to doctoral degree programs at the University of Zurich (UZH). This is a great opportunity for prospective and beginning PhD students of all disciplines to build up, deepen and expand digital competences as well as interdisciplinary thinking and skills in a cross-disciplinary environment. Participants will receive a DSI Excellence Program certificate upon successful completion of the two-year curriculum.
This offer is for both, PhD students recently enrolled in a UZH doctoral degree program, and prospective PhD students from all over the world who plan to apply for a UZH doctoral degree program and in addition are interested in digitalization and the complementary DSI Excellence Program. Prospective PhD students who are not yet enrolled in a UZH doctoral degree program also have the chance to receive a DSI scholarship equivalent to the salary of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) for doctoral students (for up to 4 years, contingent on performance).
