Research

Our activities are predicated on the conviction that research must not only push the boundaries of science and expand our frontier of knowledge regarding international business, but that it must be practical and applied.

Research done by International Management Institute faculty and associated scholars is targeted at both scholarly audiences via journals, books, and conference proceedings, while also meant for a more general audience, through engagement with the popular press and technical reports written for industry experts. Our four centers work on various aspects of international business in the 21st century, with an eye on producing high quality and evidence-driven research.

Areas of Competence

Our key themes across Centers include:

Our staff have published in such prestigious journals as Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Regional Science, Regional Science and Urban Economics, CESifo Economic Studies, International Tax and Public Finance, Explorations in Economic History, European Foreign Affairs Review, and many others.
