Master’s degree programme
The Master’s degree in applied psychology qualifies holders to enter a career as a psychologist.
Specialized studies
The Master’s programme teaches in-depth foundations of scientific psychology. Students expand their broad-based profile through their individual choice of core elective modules on specific subjects.
The Swiss Federal Act on Psychology Professions requires completion of the Master’s degree for independent work in the profession: Only holders of a Master’s degree are entitled to use the professional title ‘psychologist’. And for access to many further education programmes, the Master’s degree is required. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees awarded by universities of applied sciences and by universities are equivalent. A qualified Master’s degree also makes it possible to do doctoral studies leading to the doctorate.
