Personality and Psychotherapy
This research project is examining how personality characteristics and disorders of personality disorders prospectively influence the course and effectiveness of psychotherapy.
A further aim of the study is to obtain insights into the stability and plasticity of personality in the context of psychotherapy. In collaboration with the Klaus-Grawe-Institute for Psychological Therapy, we are following approximately 100 psychotherapy patients over a period of up to 12 months by means of several measurements of personality, psychopathology, and level of functioning. The main goal of this project is to provide theoretical bases for evidence-based further developments in psychotherapy.
