Beschreibung
MATIS SA has created a solution that supports art experts who authenticate paintings. By combining an easy-to-use multispectral camera (hardware) and an image-processing algorithm (software), the company allows faster interpretation of the hidden information from paintings (e.g., identification of pigments, visualization of signatures, origin, age, price, artist) than existing methods. The company aims at addressing the traceability and authentication problematic of art by utilizing blockchain technology (BCT). To implement this innovative idea in B2C art market, a digital solution in form of an authentication app for art enthusiasts (e.g., museum, gallery visitors) is to be created, in which they can scan the artworks with their cell phone camera using the blockchain technology integrated by MATIS SA. Art enthusiasts will have an easy, secure, and up-to-date access to the hidden information of artworks. The planned preliminary study is intended to investigate additional product features (e.g., expansion of a phygital consultation, simplified and automatic access to artworks "DNA scanner", 3D model of artworks). The goal is to unlock the unique signature of art, to ensure the originality, history of the production and transactions. Moreover, to develop further market potential, we shall analyze the marketability of these product and service models (PSM) and develop concepts for entering the B2C art market.
