This project aims at developing an innovative, noninvasive,
wearable core body temperature sensor
for sleep monitoring. The sensor unit will contain integrated skin temperature and heat flux sensors,
and will be conveniently mounted on the wrist, arm or torso. The core body temperature will be
estimated using state of the art machine learning techniques, incorporating optionally heart rate and accelerometer signals. The technology will be developed using clinical sleep data and validated using volunteer data collected during sleep in a nonconstrained
home environment.
