Students with special needs or chronic illness
Unfortunately, it is not yet a matter of course for people with special needs or a chronic illness to study at university. Before they even begin their programme, they have a great deal to consider, to investigate and to organise things that their fellow-students take for granted.
Our aim is to ensure equal opportunities for students with special needs or chronic illnesses so that they can pursue their studies independently and make full use of the infrastructure. We offer:
- advice with regard to all study-related and procedural issues related to special needs and/or chronic illness
- support in applying for compensation when assignments or exams cannot be submitted/taken in the stipulated form
- support in seeking and financing student assistance
- adjustments to rooms/schedules to ensure a barrier-free study environment
