Research foundations
There are approximately 13‘000 foundations in Switzerland, which distribute annually about 125 millions Swiss francs for education, research and innovation project. The ZHAW works effectively with foundations on practice-oriented research and development (R&D).
A large number of foundations, both in Switzerland and abroad, offer financial support for a wide variety of R&D projects. The themes supported by a foundation is determined by its goals; usually foundations address practical problems. With its application-oriented research, the ZHAW can thus make a contribution to solving such practical problems.
Manuel Bamert, at our Research & Development unit, is your contact person for all questions regarding foundations. He is in direct contact with various institutions in the foundation sector.
