Description
Since 2005, the Culture Department of the Municipality of Thalwil has been working successfully on the basis of the Conduct and the Funding Concept developed in cooperation with the Center for Cultural Management (ZKM). After about ten years, the municipality of Thalwil would like to evaluate, rework and reorientate the cultural mission adopted by the municipal council on October 1, 2003 as well as the culture promotion concept of 2005.
In the first phase, the three-stage project comprises an evaluation of the current mission statement and cultural funding concept, a situation analysis as well as exploratory talks with people from cultural policy and cultural administration. In a second phase, ideas and goals for the future of culture in Thalwil were discussed with interested parties in round tables. In a third phase, the ZKM, together with the people from politics and (cultural) administration of the municipality of Thalwil, developed a revised cultural mission and a culture promotion concept for the next 10 years. This was adopted in the form of a catalog of measures from the 2016 Council.
