Virtual Summer School - tackling climate change through global learning
Description
Global challenges require international cooperation at eye level and innovative solution strategies. The ZHAW's virtual summer school "Tackling Climate Change through Global Learning" with partners in Brazil and India aims to train students to become global change makers. Global learning, intercultural communication and virtual teamwork are central to the course, along with professional competence. Students learn together and from each other about the challenges and strategies for tackling climate change and try out new forms of virtual collaboration. The international exchange gives students an insight into the realities of different regions and encourages a change of perspective. Both in the global North-South understanding as well as in the didactic setting, classical role understandings are broken down to enable encounters at eye level between all students and supervisors.
