Research Group for Vegetation Analysis

The Research Group for Vegetation Analysis focuses its activities on teaching and applied research, but also tackles ambitious service provision projects using state-of-the-art tools such as multivariate analysis and smartphone apps in addition to traditional methods such as vegetation surveys.

Vegetation and flora play a key role in most nature- and landscape-related projects, and can furthermore be recorded and investigated much more easily and reliably than most other ecosystem elements and processes. Their stationary nature means that they are ideally suited as area-wide indicators of prevailing site conditions.
