International Virtual Course 2021
Tackling Climate Change through Global Learning
Global challenges require international cooperation at eye level and innovative solution strategies. You will learn about the impacts and challenges of climate change with a focus on agrofood systems in different geographical settings and elaborate possible solutions in international teams. Besides the preparation from a local perspective, you will be connected to and work together with our partners from the Universidade Federal de Grande Dourados in Brazil, the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore in India and the University of Nairobi in Kenya, using virtual tools and methods (e.g. virtual classroom and teamwork). Due to its virtual setting, this summer school requires limited on-site presence.
The course contains four phases starting in April / Mai 2021. You will have to be on-site only during parts of phase 2 taking place from 26.7. to 6.8.2021. In the following two weeks you will work in your virtual team to develop new solutions for challenges associated to climate change. You will receive 4 ECTS after successful completion of the course (creditable for BSc in Environmental Engineering & MSc in Environment and Natural Resources as module «Summer School»).
