Centre for Technology and Packaging

The primary objective of the Centre for Technology and Packaging is to develop high quality, safe, user-friendly and sustainable products in close cooperation with industry and other research institutes. 

Our research fields encompass the entire value chain from the selection of raw materials to packaging the final product. 

The main focus of our research is bakery technology and food packaging. We develop new products and processes with the aim of improving the flavour and texture of baked goods and achieving novel functionality. Innovative packaging technology is then utilised to preserve the quality of food, increase food safety and extend shelf life. 

We also develop customer-specific foods and support the development process from idea generation through scale up to industrial production.
