Graduates report

«Languages were the main reason why I chose to study at the ZHAW. In the course of my career, I had seen that they are the key to success. Not least because they build bridges to other cultures and open many doors. Intercultural communications professionals have, in my opinion, excellent career possibilities and are, because of the multicultural nature of the working world, more and more in demand.  I chose to specialise in Multilingual Communication. The programme, which includes oral work, management courses and many presentations, complemented the knowledge and experience that I had previously gained in the commercial world.»

Diego Serrano, Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in Multilingual Communication

«My fascination with languages clinched it for me and I enrolled at the ZHAW! I really like the variety of the programme. Along with the linguistic training, my studies also give an insight into other fields, and thanks to the options in language combination, specialisation and electives, I could put together my own individual profile. I chose Multimodal Communication to develop my translation skills. But in following this specialisation, I can also gain interesting impressions in areas such as sub-titling or re-speaking.»

Janna la Roi, Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in Multimodal Communication

«The combination of language and technology in the Technical Communication specialisation (NEW: Technical Communication and Information Design) is just right for me! The course covers all of the areas relevant to practice, and what I also particularly value is the practical experience of the lecturers. Through their work in their own professional fields, they have their fingers on the pulse and know exactly what they should pass on to their students, what will be useful to them in their professional life afterwards. Thanks to following this course, I can work in my dream profession competently and productively, even directly after graduation.»

Larissa Minder, Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in Technical Communication (NEW: Technical Communication and Information Design)
