Bachelor's degree Computer Science: Main Course of study

You deepen your specialist knowledge with optional modules in the last study year of the main study period. The very extensive options in the specialist study fully accommodate the breadth of the career possibilities and allow you to create a very individualised profile and area of specialisation.

Some of these elective modules deal with extensive subjects and are therefore offered consecutively (module 1 in the autumn semester, module 2 in the spring semester). The following are currently being offered:

In addition, other subject areas are covered in specific optrional modules. The wide range of these elective modules principally covers a large part of general computer science and certain related areas. It currently includes around 25 individual elective modules: Functional Programming, Algorithms for Difficult Optimisation Problems, .NET Technologies, Cryptology, SW Performance Optimisation, Shared Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Multicore and Parallel Computing, Scientific Computing, Risk Assessment in IT, Universal and Accessible Web Design, ITC Systems & Architecture, ICT Service Operation & Management, etc.

You need more than just technical knowledge to master the challenges in your profession. To ensure that you are fully equipped, you will also attend language and business modules in the area of Management and (IT) Law.
