Human-Machine Laboratory
Laboratory Description
Part of the laboratory serves as a research platform for human-drone interaction. The laboratory is equipped with three flying test vehicles, three Remote Pilot Stations and a mobile control console. The ReDSim cockpit simulator is also part of the Human-Machine Laboratory. There, it serves as a test platform for the use of speech to control safety-critical on-board systems.
Applications
- Practical training of students in the course module Human Centered Design in Aviation (HCD-AV), especially practical design and evaluation of human-machine interfaces.
- Development and analysis of interaction and display concepts for the control of unmanned aerial vehicles beyond visual line of sight.
- Development and analysis of interaction and display concepts in a speech enabled cockpit.
