Results of qualitative survey: “People in the workplace 4.0”
In the second part of the study, we carried out an in-depth evaluation of the qualitative interviews with professionals in HR, management, staff development and technology.
The results show that the interviewees see digitalisation as a catalyst for their professional career development. However, in their view, the increasing speed of change leads to uncertainty, especially among staff. During this transformation process, therefore, employees should also receive support on an emotional level.
Results for HRM & the workplace
• Active sourcing will play an ever greater role in HR. Talents increasingly assess companies according to whether they are digitally progressive.
• Lasting employee loyalty should be achieved by highlighting long-term learning and development opportunities.
• A challenge in digital transformation is defining new job and competence profiles.
• Human interactions do not lose any significance with increasing digitalisation.
