Switzerland’s digital future: An assessment by Philipp Rösler

What opportunities does digitisation offer for international politics and the Swiss economy? How can we create a “Silicon Switzerland”? And what really happens behind the scenes at a G8 summit?

With Philipp Rösler, ZHAW digital could attract a guest speaker who has exciting answers and suggestions to all these questions. We are delighted that the former German Vice-Chancellor accepted our invitation to Winterthur to speak with us about the many opportunities offered by digitisation.

At the online event, the audience could submit their questions live. The event was moderated by Claudia Sedioli, lecturer for communication at ZHAW, and Mark Alder, who works at the ZHAW Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning.

What are the study programs of the future?

In a short interview, Philipp Rösler revealed what the digitial transformation means for students. In the video you’ll find out what the doctor of medicine, politician and entrepreneur would study if he had the chance again today.

The whole event, including Rösler’s speech and the discussion, is available here in the video stream.
