Academia-Industry Training Camp in India: Applications are open

Organized by the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, swissnex India and venturelab, the Academia-Industry Training (AIT) Camp in Bangalore, India will take place from 20 to 24 November 2017. By connecting scientists from top institutions in Switzerland and India, the programme promotes an international network and enables access to one of the most promising markets and intellectual capitals in applied research.

The ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences has been mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) to act as Leading House for Switzerland’s bilateral science & technology cooperation programme with India. In this function and in cooperation with swissnex India and venturelab, the ZHAW organizes the Academia-Industry Training (AIT) Camp in Bangalore, India from 20 to 24 November 2017. The AIT programme connects high-level researchers from top institutions in Switzerland and India. 10 selected Swiss "scientrepreneurs" benefit from the opportunity to exchange their ideas with peers, mentors and industry experts and to establish connections in the Indian market. They will be able to explore the market potential of their high-level research projects. The India AIT Camp equips them with the knowledge and tools to realize their start-up or to team up with partners from the industry.

The AIT Camp in India will be followed by an one-week camp in Switzerland from 23 to 27 April 2018 and closes with the awarding of the AIT Innovation Grant for the most promising projects to support their realization as R&D market application or start-up.

The AIT programme is open to researchers at Master’s, PhD and postdoctoral level, as well as to researchers at Swiss Higher Education Institutions and research institutes as specified in the flyer(PDF 572,9 KB). The AIT programme covers travel and accommodation expenses in India and Switzerland.
