The ZHAW Executive Board

The Executive Board consists of the President, the Managing Director and the Deans of the eight Schools. There were a number of changes in 2019. In April, the Council of the Zurich Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts appointed Dirk Wilhelm as the new Dean of the School of Engineering. He had been directing the School on an ad interim basis since September 2018. Ursula Blosser, Dean of the School of Social Work, retired at the end of May, and Frank Wittman took over as interim Dean in June. At the beginning of November, Urs Hilber, Dean of the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management, took on an additional role as Sustainable Development Officer at the ZHAW. In this capacity, he is responsible for implementing the sustainability strategy within the university and publicly representing the ZHAW on sustainability issues.
