Since 2018, Dr Jean Dobrowolski is a Research Associate in the Electric Power Systems and Smart Grids group at the Institute of Energy Systems and Fluid Engineering (IEFE) of the Zurich University of Applied Science ZHAW in Winterthur, Switzerland.

He is currently working on the dynamic stability of the Forthcoming European transmission grid with massive integration of renewable Energy sources, supporting by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Dr. Dobrowolski received the M.Sc.Eng degree in General engineering with a specialization in control of complex systems from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France, in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as an industrial PhD in collaboration with the French company Schneider Electric, the control laboratory of Grenoble (GIPSA lab) and the Electrical Engineering laboratory of Grenoble (G2Elab). He received the PhD degree in 2017 from the Grenoble-Alpes University, France.

His main research is focused on methods of mathematical modelling of electrical grid; power systems dynamics and control; Power Management System design; Impact of renewable energy sources integration in power systems; Microgrid and Smartgrid control.
