USDA releases guidance on reducing poultry pathogen risk
New data and a slew of public comments have prompted the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) to provide poultry centers with updated guidance on how to better address salmonella and campylobacter risk.
Among the guidelines are recommendations for antimicrobials, improvements for pre-harvest practices and ways to reduce the growth of pathogens in raw poultry.
