1. This offer is valid for ZHdK Bachelor, Master, PhD, PreCollege and Propaedeutikum students, ZHdK CAS and MAS students, ZHdK lecturers and staff only. Students from HfH, PHZ and ZHAW may also apply, but only with the permission of their University.
2. The intensive German course is available for exchange students and for new Bachelor and Master students in their first and second semester at ZHdK only. All other ZHdK students and staff may be admitted to the intensive German course in case there are any openings in the classes.
3. Registration
   Course registration is binding. Information concerning your course level and location will be sent to you one week before the course starts. Registration for both intensive and semester course closes on 8 January, 1pm. No registrations will be accepted after this deadline.
4. Participation
   In order to complete the course successfully your active participation in class and regular time for independent learning are required.
5. ECTS
   Exchange students receive 2 ECTS points for each successfully completed course.
6. Placement test
   The placement test is part of the registration. If you already have some previous knowledge of German you must take a placement test immediately after sending the registration form. The link for the placement test will be sent to you by e-mail automatically upon completion of your registration.
   If you do not have any knowledge of German you do not need to do the placement test.
   Offered Levels:
   Intensive course: Level A1, A2
   Semester course: Level A1.2, A2, B1, B2
7. Cost and Expenses
   
   Intensive course
   Course fees:
   Exchange students: No charge for lessons.
   CHF 150 for enrolled students at ZHdK (BA, MA, PreCollege, Propaedeutikum, PhD)
   CHF 250 for ZHdK MAS and CAS students and ZHdK staff.
   Additional cost of CHF 50.00 for all course participants (for course materials).
   
   Semester course:
   Exchange students: No charge for lessons.
   CHF 150 for enrolled students at ZHdK (BA, MA, PreCollege, Propaedeutikum, PhD)
   CHF 250 for ZHdK MAS and CAS students and ZHdK staff.

8. Cancellation
   Cancellation of registration must be submitted in writing before the registration deadline. In case of cancellation after registration deadline or in case of failure to appear at all, a fee of CHF 100 will be charged.
9. Places
   The number of places is limited. Registrations will be accepted upon receipt. When the classes are full, further applications will be waitlisted.
