The Institute of Applied Technology (InIT), located in the center of Winterthur, is nationally and internationally recognized in the following fields: Distributed Software Systems, Human-Information Interaction, Information Engineering, Information Security und Service Engineering. In collaboration with our partners in industry and academia we research and develop intelligent information technology, software and systems. In addition, we operate specific labs in several areas, including Cloud Computing, Service Prototyping, Data Science, Visual Computing, Mobile Usability, ICT-Accessibility and Security Analysis and Testing. To supplement our team, we are looking for highly motivated (full-time or part-time).
Engineers (f/m) in Computer Science or Information Technology as Research Assistants
- Contributing to our applied research projects (specification, research, development, documentation, technology transfer) in collaboration with our partners from industry and academia
- Development of software and services using different technologies and programming lan-guages for different target server and client platforms
- Publication of results in the form of scientific papers, demonstrators and open source software
- Occasionally supporting lecturers in teaching (e.g. during exercises and labs)
The successful candidate has finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or similar) at a research university or a university of applied sciences within the last two years. He or she must demonstrate some prior experience in at least one of the competence fields of the institute (e.g., coursework or project work). We expect a good command as well as a passion for programming. Good communication skills in English and in German are an asset for the work in multidisciplinary teams. A high level of ambition and willingness to take ownership and responsibility is very well considered.
