Senior Scientist in Aviation Engine Emission Research (100 %)

Starting date: Starting in summer 2022

Your role

 tasks will include:

  • Conducting national and international measurement campaigns
  • Active participation in the improvement of the design of the measurement system (e.g. reduction of measurement uncertainties)
  • Collaboration in the development of SARPs 
  • Analysis of emission and/or engine parameter datasets (self-acquired and existing data sets) 
  • Publication of the results within scientific journals 
  • Regular technical reporting 

Your profile

You have a Master's degree, possibly with a doctorate, in engineering and show proven interest in the field of aviation and its impact on the environment. In addition to a good knowledge of IT, you have already gained experience in emission measurement technology in the past. You also have in-depth experience in the scientific analysis of datasets and have already successfully published results in scientific journals. An independent working style as well as excellent written and spoken English and possibly German are further requirements. A quick apprehension as well as a flexible and result-oriented way of working will facilitate your start. 

The position is limited until 31.12.2023.
